Registration order decides who has a guaranteed spot. The first 12 are always in the main stage. From the 13th onwards you play the play-ins, but only if more than 16 players register. With 16 or fewer, everyone is in.
How the Swiss stage works
Used with 16 players, the same system as the CS Majors. Each round you play someone with the same record as you. Three wins and you are in the playoffs. Three losses and you are out. Nobody goes home after one bad match.
Same record, same table
Round 1 is a random draw. After that, 1-0 plays 1-0 and 0-1 plays 0-1. You never face someone further ahead than you. Opponents are drawn at random inside each record, with no rematches.
5 rounds, 33 matches
The stage ends after round 5. 8 players qualify: two at 3-0, three at 3-1, three at 3-2. Every match is a BO5, first to 3 duels.
Duels count
Ties are broken by duel difference. A 3-0 win is worth more than a 3-2, so keep pushing even when the match is won.
Playoff seeding
Seeds go by record first (3-0, then 3-1, then 3-2) and by duel difference inside each record. Single elimination, with a BO5 match for 3rd place.
Format depends on how many sign up
Registrations stay open with no player limit and no byes. When they close on 11 December, the final number picks the format below, and the brackets are published.
Every match is a BO5 of duels. Ties are broken by duel difference, then by the match between the tied players. Groups are drawn live from pots, so the strongest players are spread out.
100kk from the organizer, plus donations to a dedicated character. Every donation is listed below. Prizes are paid in-game by the organizer right after the final.
